The Batchmaker Batch House
The real estate boom in West End (aka FreeMoreWest) continues with a sweet addition just a few blocks from the neighborhood’s newest townhome community Sky Terrace Towns. The Batchmaker Batch House is scheduled to open in October 2019 at 1429 Bryant Street Charlotte NC (formerly Basal Coffee). Cristina Rojas-Agurcia, a self-taught baker from Honduras, is the originator of the Batchmaker concept.
Here is what we learned from a recent article in the Charlotte Agenda.
The menu will rotate daily, so if you want a certain item (I’m looking at you, S’mores Brownies) you can still place a custom order. Cristina will serve coffee drinks that tie into her desserts ( like the Dulce de Leche Latte) and cake slices will be available on certain days of the week. Look for a few new savory additions, too.
Inspired by a trip to London, Cristina will offer an informal Tea Time complete with fresh bread, homemade jams, whipped flavored butter, mini treats displayed in a tier and a pot of tea. Guests can reserve a seat (priced per person) and will have the opportunity to sit in a private-ish area (so you can enjoy that tea time in peace.)

- S’mores Brownies – graham cracker crust on gooey brownies topped with roasted marshmallow
- Dirty Oreo Truffles – Oreo truffle cookies (life-changing)
- Dirty Brownies – brownies stuffed with peanut butter and Oreos
- Snickers Cheesecake – Oreo crust, chocolate cheesecake, dulce de leche, caramel cheesecake, Snickers topping
Hours of operation 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday-Sunday.
